Great wedding

I'm actually typing this late Sunday night because I can't sleep with too much blogging running through my head.
Rachel, as a TV news producer, and Dave, as an entertainer, put together a really spectacular, unique wedding.  Thc ceremony was adminstered by the Amazing Randi, a truly remarkable, highly intelligent, humorous man who did a wonderful job as the "minister," a term no one would actually use at this non-religious ceremony.  Rachel and Dave recited their own humorous and moving vows that each other had not heard before the ceremony.  Then there was the traditional Jewish stepping on a glass followed by Dave's version, in which he poured glass on the floor, took off his shoes and socks and walked over the glass while carrying Rachel.
After the ceremony while everyone enjoyed the hors d'oeurves, the picture taking was going on outside ,which included two jugglers tossing seven clubs back and forth highly while Rachel and Dave stood underneath and walked through.
The reception included several entertainers who performed for about a half hour, with juggling, magic, etc., our favorite being Greg Kennedy, a performer with Cirque de Soleil, who wove into his performance how much of a friend Dave has been to him.   Then Racehel's friend, "sister" Rachel Soll, who has performed in musical theater, beautifully and movingly sang "Try to Remember."
Apparently, many of our family and friends were moved by the Father/Bride dance although it couldn't be because of how I moved, not being much of a dancer.  And Rachel and Dave did their own very cool swing dance.
The rest of the wedding was more traditional (I may have forgotten something), except that Rachel had arranged that the music during dinner was not so loud as to interfere with people being able to talk to each, something I wish more people followed at similar events.  Also, the party favors for everyone were sets of 3 juggling balls with Rachel and Dave's name and the date on them.
The NY Times sent a reporter and photographer to the wedding; and we are told that it likely will be the featured wedding in the Times of Sunday, Sept. 25.   Linda had just tried for an announcement, sending a notice a few weeks before and the Times got very interested and began interviewing Rachel and Dave, us and others.  So we have our fingers crossed that we make it big time.
