So, Elkan slept all night, and walked down the hall two times today. Dr. Wynne, the g.p., says that is awesome. He's also making jokes, and even the nurses are laughing. We traded working on the breathing tube for more ice to crunch, and Elkan thought I gave up quicker than I needed to - like others we know.
Tomorrow Elkan goes to a regular room - he graduates from surgical ICU (SIC-U) to regular room without going to the intermediate room (we're all so proud of him). Anyone who wants to visit should email or call me. I'm also proud of all of you who have conquered blog-phobia, especially Danny and Burt. This means that you could probably teach your pet how to do it.
Love to all,
Linda
