We're in the "best room" according to the surgical residents, and there is a great view. This has not been Elkan's best day, with some nausea, less walking, and no food yet. Docs say that there are good days and bad dAys, and no steady trajectory. Turns out that belching and farting are good and will help - only for the patient, however.

We had two nice visits -- jay Cohen and Bonnie and Tom, and a lot of sleep in between by Elkan. He and rachel are now watching the phillies. Robert Glickstein called from California- and it was so great for Elkan to catch up with him.

Regarding pets and blogs, my sister-in-law Carole says that her youngest dog did so well that he now has 200 Facebook friends and is tweeting. She will continue burt's lessons when he finds his Blackberry (something about the bottom of a lake).
